SARAJevo, (Patria) - After the office of Croatian President Zoran Milanović, in response to N1's inquiry, stated that it is a "lie" that Milanović denied the genocide in Srebrenica at a meeting of leaders within the Brdo-Brijuni process summit, journalists from that television station also sought comment from the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, who also attended the meeting.
The Cabinet of the Chairman told N1 that "it is not customary to talk about what was said at such a meeting, but it is also not customary for the president of an EU member state to question the verdicts of international courts on genocide".
"It is true that the President of Croatia, at a working lunch in Brdo, repeating his previously publicly stated views, questioned the verdicts of the Hague Tribunal on the genocide in Srebrenica. After being warned and confronted with the facts and findings from the verdicts, Milanović stated that he has the right to question everything, including verdicts, to which he received a sharp response from Chairman Džaferović, who said that Milanović has a serious problem if he does not accept the verdicts of international courts on genocide," the response from the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Šefik Džaferović, states.
Let us recall that the information that Milanović denied the genocide in Srebrenica at this meeting caused stormy reactions. His Cabinet stated that this is not true.
