Džaferović with Council of Europe delegation: Implement European Court rulings

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović spoke with a delegation of the Council of Europe, led by Fredrik Sundberg, Head of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.

The discussion focused on the implementation of the European Court of Human Rights ruling Sejdić-Finci and the ratification process of Protocol 15 to the European Convention on Human Rights. Member of the BiH Presidency Džaferović gave full support to the finalization of these processes, and emphasized that resolving these, as well as other open issues, such as the elections in Mostar, will be a priority for the new convocation of authorities. During the meeting, the need to involve the Venice Commission in these processes was also highlighted.

Furthermore, Džaferović expressed his conviction that the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina will ratify the amendment to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in a very short period.
