(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović received the letter of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH Thomas Fitschen.
At the beginning of the credential presentation ceremony, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Thomas Fitschen, expressed his sincere satisfaction at the opportunity to be the resident ambassador of his country in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was emphasized that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Germany are exceptionally good and friendly.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović thanked the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for its continuous support of BiH's European path and positive reforms. The role of Germany within the efforts of the international community in BiH was also discussed, considering Germany's engagement in the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) and other bodies of the international community in BiH.
It was emphasized that BiH's path should be in Euro-Atlantic integrations, building a stable and prosperous society, as opposed to divisive moves, especially on an ethnic level. Chairman Džaferović wished the newly appointed ambassador a successful diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed his belief that overall bilateral relations will be further strengthened during this mandate.
