
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović received the US Ambassador Eric Nelson on an inaugural visit. During the conversation, exceptional friendly relations between the two countries were highlighted, as well as the unequivocal support that the US provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina, its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and security. The topics of discussion were Bosnia and Herzegovina's NATO and European path, and the full implementation of election results.
Member of the Presidency Džaferović emphasized that integration into NATO and the European Union are the fundamental foreign policy goals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and thanked the US for its clear and strong support in achieving these goals.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that there is a legal consensus on BiH's path towards NATO and the EU. The interlocutors agreed that the rule of law, which implies respect for all adopted laws, is a fundamental principle for the functioning of democratic states and societies.
Member of the BiH Presidency Džaferović wished Ambassador Nelson a successful mandate in our country, it was announced from the BiH Presidency.
