Two Sarajevo Residents Arrested for Drug Dealing, Apartment Searched in Dobrinja

On January 27, 2015, in the area of Stari Grad Sarajevo municipality, police officers of the Department for Combating Drug Abuse of this Ministry conducted a personal search of S.A., born in 1981 in Sarajevo, K.H., born in 1991 in Sarajevo, and M.J., born in 1969 in Sarajevo, where they reside, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- On that occasion, 7 packets of a plant-like substance resembling the drug marijuana were found and seized from S.A., 2 packets were found and seized from K.H., while one packet of a plant-like substance resembling the drug marijuana, which he had previously purchased from S.A. and K.H., was found and seized from M.J.

Based on an order from the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, a search was conducted of the apartment used by S.A. at Trg Grada Prato street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality. On that occasion, the following was found and seized:
- approximately 30 grams of a plant-like substance resembling the drug marijuana,
- one packet of a plant-like substance resembling the drug marijuana,
- 4 packets of a substance resembling the drug amphetamine,
- a digital scale, and
- drug repackaging equipment

On the same day at 3:40 PM, S.A. and K.H. were deprived of their liberty due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, while a report will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor's Office against M.J. due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of possession and enabling the use of narcotic drugs.
After the completion of the criminal investigation, on January 28, 2015, S.A. and K.H. will be handed over, along with a report on the committed criminal offenses, to the jurisdiction of the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo.
