Yesterday several protests took place on the streets of Swiss Bern. On one hand, a group of Kurds gathered to express support for Kurdish independence and to protest against a group of Turkish nationalists, who held their own protest "against Kurdish terrorism", writes Breitbart.
The group of Kurdish protesters was run over by a car, allegedly driven by a supporter of Turkish nationalism.
The Turkish protest was organized by the Union of Turkish Democrats in Europe, and about 100 people gathered for it. About 180 people participated in the Kurdish counter-protest.
Local media reported that the police blocked the city center and that riot police separated the rival groups with tear gas and rubber bullets.
Footage that appeared on social media shows a black Mercedes gradually accelerating and crashing into a group of Kurdish protesters. Screams of the gathered people can also be heard.
A police spokesperson confirmed that an incident involving a vehicle had occurred. The driver has been arrested.
Let us remind you, similar bloody clashes between Turkish and Kurdish protesters occurred in Frankfurt on Thursday.
