Two people arrested in Banja Luka for fraud

(Patria) - Police officers of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) today, in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS, and by orders of the West Herzegovina Canton Prosecutor's Office and the Cantonal Court in Široki Brijeg, searched two locations in the area of Banja Luka and arrested two individuals identified as I.M. (1976) and Đ.J. (1991).

"The named individuals are suspected of committing the criminal offense of fraud in economic operations, in a manner that, by prior agreement, with the aim of obtaining unlawful property gain, knowing that they would not pay for the ordered goods, they concluded a business cooperation agreement on July 17, 2019, with the company 'Mesna industrija Rakitno', which they later realized, and submitted a bounced bill of exchange as a guarantee, thereby damaging the company for BAM 205,000," stated the FUP.

After the search, certain documentation was temporarily seized, and the arrested individuals were taken to the FUP premises in Livno, from where they will be handed over to the competent prosecutor's office for further proceedings after questioning, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.
