(Patria) - Jozo Jasak is suspected of having killed two people and seriously injured two others early this morning around 2 AM in caffe Zmaj in Grude. As confirmed to Bljesak from the scene, Jasak and his brother have been detained, and locals also claim that Jasak had been detained before for using a hand grenade in a dispute.
We remind you that the horrific crime occurred after a brief argument in the cafe regarding the celebration of St. Stephen's Day, and Jasak, according to locals, left the premises after the verbal altercation, returned with an automatic rifle, and shot at several people. Velimir Bušić, one of the founders of HDZ 1990 and a former representative in the West Herzegovina Canton Assembly, is one of the two killed in last night's shooting. Bušić was also the head of the party's branch in Grude, and he left the party in 2018 after internal conflicts.
In Herzegovina, he was also known as the owner of the company Velbusch, which has been trading a wide range of goods since 1994. In addition to Velimir Bušić, 34-year-old Mate Grizelj was also killed. Two people died at the scene, while two were transported to SKB Mostar, one of whom (A.G., 1997) was slightly injured, and the other (Ž.G., 1949) is still in life-threatening condition and had to have his leg amputated due to his injuries.
