Dušanka Majkić knows well that weapons from Bosnia and Herzegovina are not in the hands of terrorists

With stories about arming terrorists with weapons from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dušanka Majkić wants to attract media attention, although she knows well that this story is not true, as she was at the head of the Joint Commission for Defense and Security of the BiH Parliament, stated for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) Denis Hadžović, Secretary General of the Center for Security Studies (CSS) from Sarajevo, after Majkić, an SNSD MP in the BiH Parliament, stated that BiH illegally armed the Italian mafia, criminals in Sweden, South America, and that the defense industry from the Federation of BiH is currently producing ammunition for the Ukrainian battlefield.

Media reported that the terrorists who killed 12 people in the editorial office of the Parisian magazine Charlie Hebdo a few days ago allegedly used ammunition produced in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Majkić used this to point out that this is nothing new, and that BiH has been arming terrorist organizations in the world for a long time, and is now doing so through Turkey.

Majkić also criticized the defense industry in the Federation of BiH, which she says is arming the Ukrainian battlefield, and that international institutions should also deal with this.

However, analysts warn that behind Dušanka Majkić's story are actually completely different goals, which is to stop the rapidly growing development of the defense industry in FBiH, which has increased manifold in just the last few years. Majkić, like her other colleagues from SNSD, has one task, and that is to hinder any progress in BiH, in order to destabilize the country as much as possible, thereby creating more favorable ground for manipulation, writes Patria.

- The ammunition mentioned in the media was produced in 1986 - warned Hadžović.

- If it is indeed of BiH origin, then it could only have been exported from the country until 2004, when weapons were sold by the entity authorities. After that, BiH took over the jurisdiction of arms exports, and this area is regulated so well that the defense industry from FBiH, operating within legal procedures, cannot possibly be connected with illegal arms exports from BiH.

France, Hadžović said, had previously warned BiH security agencies to pay attention to arms smuggling from BiH, but, Hadžović notes, it should be borne in mind that large quantities of weapons are still in the possession of BiH citizens, over whom the state has no control.
