Durov: French intelligence services asked me to censor Moldovan accounts

(Patria) - Founder of the messaging app Telegram Pavel Durov accused French intelligence services today of asking him, through intermediaries, to censor certain Moldovan accounts ahead of the presidential elections last year, in exchange for help in his legal proceedings in France.

Durov stated today that while he was detained in Paris, French intelligence services, through an intermediary whose name he did not disclose, asked him to "censor" certain Telegram channels for the needs of the Moldovan government.

On Telegram today, Durov wrote that French intelligence services provided him with a second list of so-called "problematic" Moldovan channels.
