SARAJevo, (Patria) - The State Duma of Russia has appointed Mikhail Mishustin as the new Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
383 deputies voted for this decision, no one voted against, while 41 deputies abstained.
Mishustin addressed the Parliament after the vote and thanked them for their support, Sputnik reports.
This agency reminds that Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed Mikhail Mishustin as the new Prime Minister on Wednesday, after Dmitry Medvedev dissolved the Government of Russia.
Medvedev's resignation followed Putin's proposal to amend the Constitution of Russia, which would increase the powers of the Parliament and the Government.
