Đukanović: We repelled the attack of Greater Serbian nationalism

(Patria) - At yesterday's session of the DPS Main City Committee, attended by party president Milo Đukanović, it was stated that the party reform is progressing satisfactorily but that it is of utmost importance that this process be completed thoroughly and qualitatively, the DPS Main City announced.

- Also, satisfaction was expressed with the results achieved at the Main City level in the past four years, which is the best legitimization for the upcoming electoral cycle in Podgorica.

In his introductory address, Committee President Časlav Vešović informed those present about the current party activities in the DPS Main City Committee and presented current activities regarding the re-registration of membership and strengthening of the party infrastructure at the local level. President Vešović also spoke about the current political situation and the priority obligations facing the DPS Main City Committee in the coming period," the statement said.

President Đukanović, in his address, emphasized the need to complete the DPS reform process in order to successfully face the challenges awaiting the party in the coming period and to show that they have understood the message voters sent them in the elections on August 30.

- Precisely, as the president pointed out, the speed with which the DPS will return to the position of socio-political relevance it held until August 30, 2020, will depend on the success of the work that needs to be done within our party.

The policy of the DPS, he emphasized, is primarily a policy of continuous reforms, and we must show that we have understood the voters' message from the elections in order to continue to expand and strengthen trust with citizens, and this is achieved only through direct and immediate contact with voters.

The President of Montenegro added that it is certain that this Government will become history on February 4. He emphasized that we can be proud of the contribution that the DPS has made to the democratic development of society in the past 18 months, and that we have managed to repel the attack of Greater Serbian nationalism and, all the time, even from the opposition, adequately take care of state interests - the statement said.
