SARAJEVO, (Patria) – At the end of March 2019, seven mines, six of which are in the Concern JP Elektroprivreda BiH, owed 451,115,565 KM to the FBiH Tax Administration for taxes, contributions, fees, and other charges.
The most difficult situation is with the Kreka Mine, which owed 133,499,155 KM.
RMU Zenica follows with 117,764,476 KM. Today, this debt is almost 140 million KM, and miners have started a strike due to unpaid wages and refuse to leave the pits. The debt of RMU Breza amounted to 76,374,615 KM, and miners were on strike on Tuesday. The FBiH Government believes that this mine can take out loans to meet its obligations. Today, the miners have resumed work in the mine.
RMU Kakanj owed 71,180,632 KM, while RMU „Abid Lolić“ had a debt of 32,846,010 KM. Also within the Concern JP Elektroprivreda is RMU Đurđevik with a debt of 3,826,465 KM.
The only mine not in the Concern is RMU Banovići, but it also had a debt of 15,624,262 KM.
