State prosecutors questioned Burzić as part of the investigation into the murder of Dženan Memić

(Patria) - Dalida Burzić, former chief prosecutor of the KS Prosecutor's Office, arrived at the premises of the MUP KS this morning, accompanied by her lawyer Vasvija Vidović, where she gave a statement as part of the investigation being conducted by the BiH Prosecutor's Office in the case of the murder of Dženan Memić. The investigation was opened several months ago, and on February 15, it marked seven years since the death of the young man who sustained head injuries in the Great Alley on the night of February 8, 2016, and died at KCUS seven days later.

In addition to Burzić, the former police commissioner of the MUP KS, Vahid Ćosić, who is also included in the investigation, is expected to give a statement.

Mersiha Novalić, spokesperson for the MUP KS Police Directorate, told Patria that the acting prosecutors of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in the Dženan Memić case and investigators of the MUP KS were questioning several individuals as suspects and conducting other investigative actions at the official premises of the MUP KS yesterday and today.

To recall, the BiH Prosecutor's Office is investigating Burzić, Ćosić, as well as then-prosecutor Meris Ćato, police officers Sakib Kreme and Nurija Mehić, and traffic expert Ševal Kovačević.

They are also expected to give statements at the MUP KS.

After the BiH Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against her, Burzić, who has since been appointed a judge of the BiH Court, was suspended from that position until the investigation against her is concluded.

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office initially classified this case as a traffic accident, then as a murder, and then reclassified it as a traffic accident again. The Memić family has claimed from the very beginning that Dženan was murdered and that Burzić herself confirmed this in conversations with Memić and in letters sent to the family, stating that this case had absolute priority.

The indictment of the KS Prosecutor's Office twice fell before the Cantonal Court, and then before the Supreme Court of FBiH because the claims in the indictment were not confirmed and the event did not occur as described in the indictment.
