Citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina brutally beats woman in Austria, neighbors save her

(Patria) - Police in the Austrian city of Salzburg arrested a 35-year-old citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the early morning hours of September 4 on charges of domestic violence and threats.

According to information from the authorities, the man physically attacked his common-law partner and made serious threats against her.

The incident was reported by concerned neighbors who called the police. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a visibly intoxicated man who, in addition to threatening his partner, also insulted and threatened one of the female neighbors.

At the order of the Salzburg Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was immediately placed in the detention unit of the Justizanstalt Salzburg. He had previously been issued a ban on possessing weapons, and now an additional restraining order and a ban on entering certain premises have been imposed, the police in Salzburg announced.

The investigation is ongoing.
