Bosnian citizens are protesting in St. Louis, blocking Gravois Avenue, after learning of the brutal murder of Zemir Begić, reports the Patria News Agency.
The city's police chief, Sam Dotson, told the gathered citizens that the police have no evidence that Begić was targeted because he was Bosnian. The police announced that two minors, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of committing this murder.
Begić moved to the US with his family in 1996, and came to St. Louis a few months ago after marrying a Bosnian woman living in that city.
US citizens also supported the protests, and social networks are buzzing. One US citizen wrote that it is shameful that Bosnian citizens are being killed in the US after surviving genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
