Journalists' Association: Attack on Capital.ba Shows Increasingly Difficult Situation for Media in BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Management Board of the Journalists' Association of BiH strongly condemns the threats made by the head of the RS Representative Office in Russia, Duško Perović, to the editorial team of the business portal Capital.ba

They state that Perović told Capital's editor-in-chief Siniša Vukelić, among other things, that he would have many problems and that he would "end up" because of reporting about Russian investor Rašid Serdarov and the company "Comsar Energy".

The Journalists' Association of BiH calls on the competent law enforcement institutions to urgently investigate this case and take adequate measures.

"We believe that this case also shows the increasingly difficult situation in which the media in BiH find themselves due to frequent attacks on journalists and the lack of prosecution of these attacks," the statement from the Journalists' Association says.
