Second ship leaves Ukrainian Odesa since grain deal expiry

(Patria) - A second ship has left the Ukrainian port city of Odesa since Moscow withdrew from the Black Sea grain deal, sailing for Bulgaria on Saturday, Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksiy Honcharenko said on Telegram, Reuters reported.

Honcharenko posted a photo of what he said was the ship leaving the port.

The bulk carrier Primus, flying the Liberian flag, is moving from Odesa to the port of Varna in Bulgaria, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reported, citing the MarineTraffic database.

Three seaports in Odesa delivered tens of millions of tonnes of grain during the Russian invasion under a United Nations-brokered deal that collapsed in July after Moscow withdrew.

Russian forces have since targeted Ukrainian ports with volleys of missiles and kamikaze drones.
