CAKE DRAMA: Employees of 'Poslovnost' and Patria journalist attacked in Centar municipality

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A real drama unfolded today in the premises of the Centar municipality of Sarajevo.

It all started with protests by employees of the Poslovnost agency in front of the Municipality building, when a security guard, on the order of someone from the municipal services, brought them water while they were protesting.

The employees interpreted this move as a provocation, given that they have been unable to enter or leave their workplace for two weeks. In fact, they can, but through a window 10 meters high.

They say they immediately responded that they do not want "the mayor's water, but laws".

In response, they ordered a cake for the mayor of Centar, Nedžad Ajnadžić, with the inscription: "For success in urbanization, your agency Poslovnost".

Then they proceeded to take the cake to the mayor, accompanied by a journalist from the Patria agency.

At the reception, they asked the person on the other side of the glass for information on how to deliver the cake to the mayor, to which the response was a question of who they were.

One of the employees said, "this is a cake from the employees of the Poslovnost agency." Then they also wrote a message on the cake's packaging stating: "For Mayor Nedžad Ajnadžić, we don't want cake, we want laws."

The person on the other side of the glass, noticing that everything was being recorded, asked the Patria journalist to stop recording. When asked who ordered that recording was forbidden in the municipality, which belongs to the citizens, he returned to his workstation and called the security guard via walkie-talkie.

The security guard then prevented recording, explaining that nothing could be filmed inside, only outside, in front of the municipality. He will deny this later in the story.

And then followed a verbal attack on the Poslovnost employees, with talk about the patriotism of the GENERAL of this municipality and a lot of shouting. We could not record this part of the incident; we were not allowed to.

The tension lasted for several minutes; the employees stated that they had the right to deliver the cake to the mayor, that their fathers were patriots, but that they only wanted laws, the right to normal work, and freedom of movement.

After they left the Centar municipality building, the security guard brought the cake to the Patria journalist who was standing outside, on public property, and then attacked him for filming him carrying the cake. Even though he himself, ten minutes earlier, said that filming was allowed in front of the municipality.

There was a brief scuffle when he tried to take the phone, but it ended there.

In the video recordings you will see, we have protected the identities of both the employees and the security guard, so that the GENERAL would not lecture them about what happened.

The story sounds familiar, doesn't it? Of course, the behavior pattern of SDA patriots is the same everywhere, so it's not surprising that in the Centar municipality they behave like Huso Ćesir who "attacks cameras".

Someone should just tell them that the GENERAL did not bring the municipality to Sarajevo, that it is a municipality for all citizens, including journalists born in that municipality, long before the general arrived at the "municipality better than 10 others".

It is time for law enforcement and judicial bodies to get serious and state what can and cannot be filmed. Before another lens gets damaged in the Wild West.
