At least two people have been killed, one of whom is the shooter, and eight have been injured in a shooting at a cinema in the city of Lafayette in the US state of Louisiana, reports the Patria news agency.
According to the local daily newspaper "Advertiser", the shooting occurred around 7 p.m. during the screening of the film "Train Wreck". Witness Katie Domingue stated that an elderly white man suddenly stood up and started shooting.
-He didn't say anything, I didn't even hear anyone scream, Domingue said.
Lafayette is a city with approximately 120,000 inhabitants, located less than 100 kilometers southeast of Baton Rouge.
