Dragičević: Krunić helped me, how can Lukač know the motives of the murder before the investigation?

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - The Minister of Interior of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, Dragan Lukač, said that money was probably the only motive for members of a group of Banja Luka criminals to kill businessman Slaviša Krunić from Banja Luka.

He stated that in this entity there are no organized groups with the power to decide to kill anyone, as happened in Serbia when a prime minister was killed.

"There are no such or similar groups in Republika Srpska, but there are individuals or smaller groups, mostly robbers, i.e., people who live off crime. They are ready for such atrocities, their motive is probably only money and nothing else, and I believe that was the case in this instance as well. A group of known Banja Luka criminals, who have previously committed the most serious crimes and served long prison sentences, is involved in the brutal murder of Krunić and his companion," Lukač told RTRS on Friday.

Such a statement by Minister Lukač sparked strong reactions in the public, ranging from accusations that no one, not even Lukač, can know what the motive for Krunić's murder was before an investigation is conducted, to claims that Lukač, with his speculative statements, only reveals that the investigation into the murder of the Banja Luka businessman will not be objective.

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mektić, earlier stated that Krunić's murder was "a murder with the signature of the authorities."

The Banja Luka businessman Krunić, as well as his companion, were killed near Krunić's house near Banja Luka. Krunić, who owned a bakery chain and a security agency, had previously warned that he was under strong pressure from people in the immediate circle of Milorad Dodik, the president of the SNSD, currently the leading political party in Republika Srpska, and the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH.

Davor Dragičević, who has been seeking justice for his son David Dragičević for over a year, whose body was found at the confluence of the Crkvena and Vrbas rivers in March last year, told the Patria agency that in the case of his son as well, the Minister of Police of Republika Srpska, Dragan Lukač, assumed the role of both police officer, prosecutor, and judge, which, as he said, "only speaks of his involvement in the cover-up of murders."

"They are murderers and criminals," said Dragičević, who moved his son's remains from the Banja Luka cemetery to Austria.

"There is no longer justice for an ordinary person here," added Dragičević.

He commented that the murdered Krunić was one of those people who were not afraid of the regime, and that he helped people in need. Dragičević said that the regime removes such people.

"Krunić helped me and the group Justice for David a lot," said Dragičević, announcing that he will continue the fight for the truth about his son's murder, the murder of Dženan Memić from Sarajevo, the murder of Krunić, and many other unsolved murders.
