Dragičević: Dodik still silent about my son's murder, Stanivuković is not an alternative

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Davor Dragičević, father of the deceased young man David from Banja Luka, spoke about the footage in which he is walking with Milorad Dodik, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the investigation of this case, and the support in his struggle provided by certain politicians. On that occasion, he mentioned Draško Stanivuković, the mayor of Banja Luka, saying that he will be 100,000 times worse than Dodik if he remains in power.

Dragičević again emphasized that there was no walk with Milorad Dodik.

“I don’t even know where BN Television got that information and the way it was presented. They should have called me first. I was heading to a meeting with a member of the American Embassy in Banja Luka, and before that, I came in front of the SDK building, which is now the Palace of the President building, and there, together with Sofija Grmuša, I planned to do a live broadcast to thank all members of the group Justice for David and the media who supported us in our struggle. In the meantime, Sofija noticed cars arriving and Dodik getting out. I thought he would head towards the Palace, however, he walked through the park towards the city center,” he stated during an interview for N1.

He further explained that he followed him, as did Sofija, and everything was recorded by journalists from BN Television.

“However, Dodik and his bodyguards walked quickly, and I intercepted him somewhere in the middle of Gospodska Street, and the encounter was very brief, about a minute, and I repeated to him everything I said in 2018 – that I want the murderers and criminals to be brought to justice, that he and the current Minister of Police, his trusted man, Siniša Kostrešević, know very well who the kidnappers and murderers of David Dragičević are. They are people in blue uniforms represented by Siniša Kostrešević, there was no walk, I don’t know how people could think that on the day before New Year’s, when the city is full and it’s noon, Dodik and I would walk around the city,” said Dragičević.

Speaking about the support he received throughout his struggle, he emphasized that it was provided by certain politicians, including Branislav Borenović, Vukota Govedarica, Jelena Trivić, and Draško Stanivuković, and that this changed after the elections.

“They are simply political vultures who only wanted a like and a vote, they were never interested in justice for my child, nor me, nor the group Justice for David. They never stood up for us. We have been fighting for four years, and have you seen if they were at any trial, when they got a baton to the head, they never were,” emphasized Dragičević.

He also revealed what Dodik told him after the message he conveyed when he met him in the city center a few days ago.

“He didn’t answer anything, he just mumbled something like prosecutors. If he had any reason and intelligence left, as much power as he thinks he has, but he doesn’t, he would be the first to initiate everything to resolve it, but this will leave unforeseeable consequences for the entity and institutions of Republika Srpska, and the others never cared, they only wanted to score political points, that was seen immediately on the day when Igor Crnadak said they achieved a historic success, that’s all they were interested in,” Dragičević stated.

He emphasized that Stanivuković, if he remains in power, will be 100,000 times worse than Dodik.

“Both he and Jelena Trivić, if that is the alternative for this entity, they can hang me too, they killed my child, but still, it will never be any better. There is no alternative there. Draško Stanivuković is the son of a war profiteer and tycoon, and people voted for that. I don’t know anymore if I should open people’s eyes, let them squint or go blind, I don’t care,” Dragičević concluded at the end of the interview.
