Dragan Lukač questioned at the BiH Prosecutor's Office

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač was questioned at the BiH Prosecutor's Office today, and as he told the media after leaving the building, he gave his statement as a witness. The prosecutor was interested in the Government's actions during the preparation of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska session on the return of transferred competencies, as well as the Government's stance regarding the parliament's decisions and their implementation.

"The questions were related to the session of the National Assembly and the Government due to the transfer of competencies. Mostly, everything is already known to the public," said Lukač.

The Minister of Justice of Republika Srpska, Anton Kasipović, was also questioned today as a witness at the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and he emphasized that there were no questions about "overthrowing the constitutional order of BiH", but that the prosecutor was mainly interested in the Government's actions regarding the parliamentary decisions on the return of transferred competencies.

On December 10, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, at a special session, adopted conclusions on the return of transferred competencies, adopted a Declaration on Constitutional Principles and four pieces of information with conclusions on the return of competencies transferred from Republika Srpska to the BiH level.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office subsequently opened a case against several individuals on well-founded suspicion of committing the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order.
