Dr. Cerić condemned the attack on Dr. Kukić: Freedom of speech must not be conditioned by anything!

Independent candidate for the BiH Presidency member, Dr. Mustafa Cerić, strongly condemned the attack on Dr. Slavo Kukić, professor and public worker, it was announced from the Press Service of Dr. Cerić.

According to the statement, this is an absolutely unacceptable and brutal physical attack, apparently politically motivated, which deserves all public condemnation.

- We strongly condemn all violence, especially politically motivated violence. Also, this unfortunate event is given special weight by the fact that it is an attack on a prominent intellectual of public value and an academic worker who has proven his patriotism many times over. Freedom of speech, opinion, and political action must not be conditioned by anything, therefore we express our regret, condemnation, and indignation over this act – it is stated in Dr. Cerić's statement.

In this way, as stated, Dr. Cerić also expresses his personal support to Dr. Kukić in freely expressing his political views and wishes him a speedy recovery.

- We call on the competent authorities to shed light on this case as soon as possible and, in accordance with the law, to sanction the perpetrator. This event casts a shadow on the overall security situation in BiH and once again warns that security and the rule of law are of vital importance for all citizens – stated Dr. Cerić.
