Dr. Cerić strongly condemns the murder of Zemir Begić: Let us stop divisions and killings due to differences

 

The World Bosniak Congress joins in the strong condemnation of the recent murder of Bosniak Zemir Begić in the American city of St. Louis, and calls on the competent services of that city, where the largest community of Bosniaks in the United States lives, to ensure a peaceful and safe life for members of that community, as well as for all citizens, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

We express sincere regret and concern over recent events in America, where racial unrest is flaring up again, from Ferguson, through St. Louis, all the way to New York.

„The bloody events that marked the 20th century, during which millions of people were killed because of different skin color, religion or nationality, should be a strong lesson and message to stop killing because of differences. By accepting and respecting each other, we can make this world only a better and happier place for all of us“, said Dr. Mustafa Cerić, President of the World Bosniak Congress.

„In the hope that there will be no more such tragic cases, we express our sincere condolences to the family of Zemir Begić, along with a prayer to Almighty God to grant us all patience in trials“, emphasized Dr. Cerić in the message of the World Bosniak Congress.
