(Patria) - Đorđe Balašević was buried a little before 1 PM at the New Cemetery in Novi Sad, surrounded by his closest family.
Tamburasi escorted the body from the chapel, Nova.rs reports.
Family members attended the funeral, as well as the Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, and the Mayor of Ljubljana, Zoran Janković.
As a reminder, Balašević was admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic five days ago, where he was treated for pneumonia. He passed away on February 19.
Based on the decision of the Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, today was declared a Day of Mourning in Novi Sad.
