Donetsk People's Republic introduces military censorship on mail, phone calls

(Patria) - The Donetsk People's Republic has introduced military censorship on mail, internet communications, and phone calls, according to an order by the region's head published on his website, reported Tass agency.

"Military censorship will be applied to postal items as well as messages transmitted via telecommunication systems, and surveillance will also be established on telephone conversations," the order by Denis Pushilin states.

According to the order, the Russian Federal Security Service and the regional Ministry of Information will develop and implement censorship measures.

Pushilin signed the order on September 18, but it did not take effect until the day it was published.
