Donation Evening: Čović appeared in Kreševo, no word on Dodik or BiH Armed Forces, only about money

Croatian member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović attended, as high patron, a donation evening for the completion of the construction of the Museum of the Franciscan Monastery of St. Catherine in Kreševo, the BiH Presidency announced, reports Patria.  

Čović had not been seen in public since January 9. On that day, when his friend, RS President Milorad Dodik, celebrated the unconstitutional holiday of RS Day, he convened sessions of the Presidency of HNS and HDZ BiH.

He also did not comment on the deployment of members of the BiH Armed Forces from barracks and their presence at the unconstitutional ceremony in Banja Luka, nor when Dodik was sanctioned.

He is, of course, silent now, regarding the most important political issues that have led to the heating up of the situation in the country, but he is giving a speech at a donation evening in Kreševo.

Under the high patronage of Čović, a donation evening was held in Kreševo for the completion of the construction of the Museum of the Franciscan Monastery of St. Catherine. Numerous Croatian officials from all levels of government in BiH, as well as other important guests, responded to the call for support for this noble and exceptional project.

In his speech, Čović emphasized that he is extremely proud of the great response and the displayed unity, stressing that only through unity can such a large project be completed.

The goal of the evening is to raise part of the funds for the completion of the construction project of the new building of the museum of the Kreševo monastery, one of the three oldest in BiH, the construction of which began in the summer of 2011. The Government of the Republic of Croatia is the largest donor of the work done so far on the construction of the museum building.

The Museum of the Franciscan Monastery of St. Catherine houses a true treasury of cultural heritage, such as medical books by fra Mato Nikolić, the first physician in BiH, then the 'dera metalica', a book dating from 1648 that describes in detail the metal processing process. There is also the memorial room of fra Grgo Martić, a collection of minerals and crystals from the Kreševo area, an archaeological and numismatic collection, and a library with over 45,000 titles.
