Donation Conference on Srebrenica: Humiliating the Living and the Dead

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić stated on November 9 that Serbia is learning to win, and the evidence is "in the case of the Resolution on Srebrenica, Croatia's economic aggression, as well as the session of the General Conference of UNESCO," writes the Patria News Agency.

Vučić described the UN's refusal to accept the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide as a victory for Serbia. So what does Bosniak politics expect from Vučić in Srebrenica again?

So far, no one from state bodies has asked the Security Council for a stance on the legal status of the International Court of Justice's ruling in February 2007 regarding the Srebrenica genocide. That ruling became binding for this country. The UN Security Council, through a vote, challenged the ruling of its most powerful international court. Court rulings cannot be challenged even in bad democratic systems.

Third Donation Conference

A donation conference on Srebrenica was announced every two years, but only two have been held so far: in July 2002 and July 2007. The results were nil.

It always seemed as if the Danaans were organizing donation conferences for Srebrenica.

Vučić paid his respects to the victims in Potočari in July this year, while denying the genocide. Now he is coming to the donation conference and has already announced several times that he will invest serious money. Due to Vučić's denial of the genocide, many are already dividing that amount of 10 million long-term marks among the 8372 victims. That's 1194 marks per Srebrenica victim.

At the same time, property is being confiscated from former Bosniak camp inmates who sued Republika Srpska, because they lost their court cases. The sum of these court costs is incredible and, according to estimates, exceeds 50 million marks. Alongside this entity-level plundering, a donation conference with Vučić in Srebrenica is taking place.

Corruption Without Borders

The hot-cold system operates according to Vučić's and Dodik's parallel programs.

Bosniak leaders have certainly humiliated Srebrenica and its victims. Huge sums of budget and private donation money have been poured into Srebrenica for two decades! A good portion was spent by Bosniak quasi-patriots who centered themselves and largely expanded their businesses in Tuzla. One was even appointed director of a state company. This showed that Bosniak corruption is so powerful and inhumane that it has reached the sacred Bosniak space - the victims of the Srebrenica genocide.

In official Sarajevo, no one is asking about the consequences of this new hypocrisy towards the dead of Srebrenica. Why does Vučić constantly and persistently reconcile with the victims of Srebrenica while denying the genocide?

Vučić's constant peace, and now donation, offensives on Srebrenica could, after all, take on a different dimension and connotations than those being served to us today.
