(Patria) - At an international donor conference held yesterday in Kuwait, over two billion dollars were pledged for aid to the Gaza Strip, devastated after more than seven months of war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas.
At the conference, organized by the International Islamic Charity Organization and the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs, it was stated that the funds will be disbursed over two years, with the possibility of extension.
The goal of the aid is to support vital humanitarian operations in the Palestinian territories.
