LONDON, (Patria) – US President Donald Trump will visit Great Britain on June 3, agencies report.
President Trump had already paid an official visit to Great Britain in July 2018 when he met with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle, as well as Prime Minister Theresa May, who called the visit 'an opportunity to strengthen already close relations'.
Foreign heads of state are officially invited by Queen Elizabeth, on the recommendation of the British government.
State visits hold great political significance for Great Britain.
The official host of visits by foreign heads of state is the Queen, and visitors are most often accommodated at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle.
During the year, the Queen hosts one or two heads of state. Since her coronation in 1952, she has hosted 109 such visits, writes the BBC.
