WASHINGTON, (Patria) - US President Donald Trump signed an immigration executive order that should end the separation of immigrant families illegally crossing the border with Mexico.
- It is about keeping families together, while at the same time having a very secure border. I never wanted families to be separated - said Trump.
Trump had said hours earlier in an unexpected turn of events that he would sign the decree.
The American administration has been the target of fierce criticism at home and abroad, as in the past five weeks, 2,300 children have been separated from parents detained for illegally entering the country.
