Health Center and two elementary schools in Ilidža in energy efficiency project

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Municipal Mayor Nermin Muzur held a meeting with Minister Enver Hadžiahmetović on the topic of implementation and realization of the project "Energy efficiency in public buildings of Sarajevo Canton".

In this regard, within the project "Energy efficiency in public buildings of Sarajevo Canton", the Ilidža Health Center building is among the first 15 facilities, which is of exceptional importance for the citizens of the municipality of Ilidža. A public tender has already been announced for the facilities within the project, and the procedure is expected to be completed soon, followed by the start of works.

"After a complete standstill in the project's implementation in the previous period, all processes have been unblocked this year, and consultants have been intensively working on detailed energy audits, as well as the preparation and revision of project documentation. We thank the esteemed Minister for his support on this exceptionally important project for our local community. The Municipality of Ilidža certainly offers its cooperation for the best possible realization of the mentioned project. It is truly a pleasure to initiate concrete projects that have been talked about for decades," stated Mayor Muzur.

In line with the strategic commitment of Sarajevo Canton, priority capital investment projects for environmental protection have been identified. The projects aim to increase energy efficiency in the public sector of Sarajevo Canton, the realization of which leads to a reduction in negative effects on air quality due to heat production, as well as rationalization of costs, savings of budget funds, and the possibility of reinvestment.

The Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, as the project implementer, will carry out energy efficiency measures on the following facilities: Ilidža Health Center, First Elementary School, Third Elementary School.
