House of Peoples of BiH PA is the last step for the adoption of the Budget for 2022.

(Patria) - Delegates of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA will consider the Proposal of the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2022 at an urgent session today, which was adopted on Monday in the House of Representatives of the BiH PA. 

Given that the Budget also includes an item for increasing the base for calculating salaries for employees in BiH institutions equally for all employees because there have been no changes to the Law on Salaries in BiH Institutions, this means in practice that high salaries will increase by about 500 KM due to coefficients according to salary grades, while the salaries of soldiers, police officers, and civil servants will increase by at most around 100 marks.

The House of Peoples of the BiH PA will certainly adopt the Budget Proposal in order to finally put an end to temporary financing, as the last budget adopted was for 2020. 

The trade unions of SIPA and BiH Border Police have commented on the increase in their salaries and have supported the adoption of the budget, but they have criticized the enormous increase in salaries for officials, ministers, delegates, and MPs, and have called for amendments to the Law on Salaries and Benefits in BiH Institutions to be adopted.
