House of Peoples of BiH PA to adopt the Budget of Institutions for 2020 today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The session of the House of Peoples of BiH PA is scheduled to be held starting at 10 AM. It is already known that Collegium member Dragan Čović has been infected with coronavirus and is in home isolation. For now, there is no information that any of his colleagues from the Club of Croats, Lidija Bradara, Marina Pendeš, or Bariša Čolak, have been in contact with him, so it is expected that they will attend the session.

The Budget of BiH Institutions for 2020 is to be adopted at today's session. If three delegates from the Club of Croats do not attend the session, there will be no quorum to hold the session.

Eight votes are needed to adopt the budget: three from SDA, one from SBB, plus four from SNSD, and no votes against from the FBiH. Zlatko Miletić (independent delegate) and Denis Bećirović (SDP) are the two votes that should not vote against the budget.

Bećirović did not reveal how he would vote at the session. In the House of Representatives of BiH PA, HDZ voted against the Budget, but it was adopted.

The international community has expressed expectations that the budget will be adopted so that local elections can be held, which were postponed from October 4 to November 15 precisely due to problems with the lack of financial resources.
