The person with initials J.T., who was arrested today while entering BiH at the Rača border crossing, is Jovan Tintor Joja (65), advisor to Radovan Karadžić, who is on trial in The Hague, and former financier of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Tintor was arrested on a warrant from the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo for genocide and destruction of cultural and historical monuments.
Tintor was in the company of lawyers, and unofficial information suggests that at one point he attempted to cross into Serbia.
A witness who was captured in early June 1992 in the village of Ahatovići in Sarajevo's Novi Grad municipality testified in The Hague against Karadžić, claiming that the Serbian soldiers who took over the village were commanded by Jovan Tintor. According to his words, out of about thirty captured Bosniak men, 15 were immediately killed, and the rest were transferred to Rajlovac and locked in abandoned fuel tanks, where they were held under inhumane conditions and beaten, with two dying from the beatings, the witness recounted.
In Serbia, in mid-2015, Tintor was sentenced to nine years in prison for the murder of Branko Petrović (50) from the village of Todorin in the Mionica area, whom he killed in 2012.
As previously written by Avdo Huseinović, Tintor was one of the key people on the ground in implementing the bloody project of a Greater Serbia. By order of Jovan Joja Tintor, president of the Crisis Staff of the Serbian Municipality of Vogošća, no. E 12/92, dated May 2, 1992, which placed the “Kon Tiki” guesthouse (better known as the “Kod Sonje” tavern) in Vogošća at the disposal of the Serbian police “for the interrogation of arrested and detained persons,” the beginning of the agony for Vogošća's Bosniaks was marked.
That decision, by Tintor's order, was immediately implemented by Branko Vlačo, who was appointed camp manager. The greatest crimes in Vogošća occurred in the camps “Kod Sonje” and “Bunker” in Vogošća, “Nakina garaža” in Krivoglavci, “Planjina kuća” in Svrake, the JNA barracks in Semizovac, as well as in the human shield during Chetnik offensives on Žuč hill. All these crimes occurred under the direct command of the arrested Branko Vlačo.
In the Vogošća camps, many women were raped, and some were brutally killed afterward. Some were held and raped in village stables in the village of Jezera on Žuč hill. Branko Vlačo personally led the crime against the Vogošća settlement of Krše on May 25, 1992, when six Bosniaks were brutally killed.
