(Patria) - The documentary film "Škija" produced by Federal Television, authored by Muhamed Bikić, talks about the legendary player of Željezničar, Josip Katalinski, who in many ways remained inscribed in golden letters in the annals of Yugoslav football at the time, will be broadcast tonight on FTV at 9 PM.
Škija's historic goal against Spain in 1974 was played for years at the openings of sports shows in the former country, and in that year he was also declared the best footballer of Yugoslavia and was the recipient of the April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo.
Katalinski is also a member of the first championship generation of Željezničar in 1971/72, in which he left an indelible mark. He was one of the founders of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a long-time coordinator for youth football. The BiH football house organizes an international tournament every year in memory of the legendary Škija, as well as the Academy in Ilidža which bears his name. In short, he is a great figure who will be remembered forever in our region.
The film Škija, directed by Amer Kulovac, was filmed at authentic locations where Škija was born and grew up in Ilidža, lived in Hrasno, played football at Grbavica and Koševo, at the cemetery where he was buried in Stup, where the Josip Katalinski Football Academy exists today.
The film features Škija's contemporaries, teammates, opponents on the field, as well as family and friends.
