SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Radio BIR host Nedžad Abdić, along with colleague cameraman Adis Patković, has created a "multimedia document," the documentary film "Bedem," which speaks about the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Vitez from 1992 to 1994, as well as the social, political, and economic conditions of that time, the beginning of the aggression, and the period of resistance against attacks by the HVO and the Croatian Army.
The film was shot in Vitez and Sarajevo, and features interviews with the President of the War Presidency of Vitez, Muhamed Mujezinović, Secretary of DVD Vitez, Sejo Smriko, Commander of the 1st Battalion of the 325th Mountain Brigade Vitez, Nesad Hurem, resident of the village of Gornja Večeriska, Besim Haskić, and Deputy Commander of the Military Police of Vitez, Ibrahim Abdić.
- We are negotiating with television stations interested in acquiring and broadcasting the film, and we expect a premiere soon in Vitez, organized by BZK "Preporod" Vitez. However, the exact date will be coordinated with the organizers of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the HVO crimes against Bosniaks in this municipality - said Nedžad Abdić.
He added that the work on the documentary film "Bedem" was financed with their own funds, but they have invited all relevant institutions to cooperate in order to jointly make a significant contribution to preserving the memory of the events from the first half of the 1990s in Vitez.
