Document not considered due to political games: BiH Prosecutor's Office not investigating Mirsad Vilić

At this morning's session of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the Work Plan for 2016 and the events in Bosanski Novi during the operation carried out by SIPA, when suspects for war crimes were arrested, were considered, reports a reporter of the Patria News Agency.

The session did not discuss the request for the dismissal of Mirsad Vilić, director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH. As a reminder, the Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektić, requested Vilić's dismissal due to "failures on July 11 in Potočari when Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić was attacked".

As Patria has learned, the document that the members of the Independent Board requested from the BiH Prosecutor's Office arrived at the Parliamentary Assembly, but despite this, it was not considered at the session.

However, what is certain is that the document very clearly and precisely states that the BiH Prosecutor's Office is not conducting any investigation against Vilić.

Some of the members of the Independent Board told us that this was not on the agenda due to political games, because Mektić is not giving up on the dismissal request, and the response from the BiH Prosecutor's Office is in Vilić's favor.
