While citizens barely survive, the state collects record indirect tax revenues

(Patria) - Indirect tax revenues for the first four months of 2022 amounted to 3 billion and 5 million KM, an increase of 538 million KM or 21.82% compared to the same period in 2021 when they amounted to 2 billion and 467 million KM.

After the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UIO) returned 650 million KM to the economy in the first four months of 2022 based on VAT refunds, net collected revenues distributed to beneficiaries, namely the state, entities, and Brčko District, amounted to 2 billion and 355 million KM, an increase of 356 million KM compared to the revenues received by beneficiaries from the Single Account for the same period in 2021.

In April 2022 alone, 776 million KM of indirect taxes were collected, which is 132 million KM more than in April 2021.

For the financing of state institutions in the first four months of 2022, an amount of 254 million KM was allocated, identical to all previous years. Based on the special road toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 KM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 67.6 million KM, Republika Srpska received 44.7 million KM, and Brčko District received 2.3 million KM. The difference represents a reserve in a special road toll account amounting to 0.25 KM.
