Dodik ahead of departure to Brussels: If the conditioning continues, we will say we will not be part of the government

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik said today that he will discuss the formation of government in BiH in Brussels tomorrow.

"The formation of government is already a disgusting topic. Serious damage has been done to the entire society and RS is suffering due to the non-formation of government, but no one needs to count on us being so attracted to power that we would destroy the institutions of the smaller entity of BiH," Dodik stated, emphasizing that conditioning in the process of forming government should be rejected and warning that SNSD, if this continues for a certain period, will publicly state that it does not want to be part of the government.

"Certain representatives of the international community have accepted conditioning, aligning themselves with Bosniak efforts to impose certain decisions that should be made regarding the NATO Annual National Programme (ANP). This cannot be a national plan, because at least three peoples live in BiH," Dodik said.

He reiterated that Republika Srpska is against NATO membership, that it will not accept the activation of the Membership Action Plan for this alliance, nor the sending of the ANP.

"We already have certain forms of cooperation with NATO, Serbia has it too, and even Russia, and cooperation in that form is not a problem for us. But, to do anything that would resemble the ANP is unacceptable to us and we will not do it. If they think they should insist on that demand, then let them choose other partners. Some from Republika Srpska have been encouraged to do so. We are pursuing a principled and clear policy that leaves no room for doubt. We will certainly not do it," Dodik was clear.

Otherwise, BiH Presidency members Željko Komšić, Milorad Dodik, and Šefik Džaferović will meet tomorrow in Brussels with the Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn.

BiH Presidency members will attend a farewell dinner hosted for Western Balkan leaders by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini.
