Dodik: Arrest me if you can, or we will agree, or there will be no Bosnia

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Milorad Dodik, member of the BiH Presidency, said that he was outvoted at today's session of the BiH Presidency, and that vital national interest will be invoked for two items. He emphasized that he did not block anything as soon as he arrived at the session.

“I plan, if we organize ourselves technically tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow at the latest, for the SNSD Club, together with other Serb partners, and the HDZ BiH with theirs, to submit a proposal for a law on the termination of the mandate of foreign judges in the Constitutional Court. This proposal has been agreed upon, and this crisis of non-decision-making can only be resolved if the Constitutional Court annuls the decision, and if foreign judges are removed from the Constitutional Court, otherwise it will not be possible to make any decisions in state bodies, the Council of Ministers, the BiH Parliament.”

On Thursday, a meeting of officeholders in BiH institutions will be held in East Sarajevo to inform them about the decisions of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS).

“We will not give up RS at any cost. We will not accept anyone refusing to resolve this issue. The NSRS has made a decision to reconsider the situation in 60 days. The BiH Presidency substitutes foreigners, and the House of Representatives confirms. We do not want, and we have not said that entities should elect all nine judges, but the BiH Presidency, and finally the BiH Parliament confirms. That is the level of BiH. Those who have no other proposal than for foreigners to stay to save BiH are gravely mistaken. We will be at every session, and our deputies and delegates will be at the sessions and in the Council of Ministers, but they will not make any decisions. They will not even make a decision on temporary financing; if they want chaos, they will get it,” said Dodik.

He stated that the Constitutional Court is managed by the OHR.

“I call for the original Dayton and the constitutional order. I call for dialogue, for our proposal to be included in the session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament. Arrest me if you can, I have come to Sarajevo. It is my right to vote for or against. One cannot claim triumphantly that the Serbs want to take something from the Dayton table. Either we will agree to have Bosnia, or we will not agree, and then there will be no Bosnia,” said Dodik.

He stated that he had prepared a letter to the President of the European Court of Human Rights in which he states that he was misled regarding the appointment of a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
