Dodik: Armed conflict between RS police and SIPA avoided in Bosanski Novi

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said today in Banja Luka at a special session of the NSRS that the SIPA operation in Bosanski Novi was a gross provocation, reports the Patria news agency.

"SIPA has nullified all previous results of cooperation and decided to ignore the institutions of RS, by searching the Police Station in Bosanski Novi in delicate circumstances that could have sparked an armed conflict. Due to conscience, this did not happen in Bosanski Novi," Dodik said at the special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.

He called on deputies to adopt the conclusions of the RS Government, among which is that due to SIPA's unconstitutional actions, cooperation with this agency, as well as with the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, is terminated.

"We are forced into this, but we believe that no one will test our determination. We must clearly tell everyone that we are serious and that we will not give up, and that the termination of cooperation will last until procedures are established in accordance with the competencies in BiH," Dodik added.

The session, until the end of Dodik's address, was also attended by Jonathan Moore, head of the OSCE mission in BiH, Banja Luka media report.
