Dodik: Salihović was removed by Izetbegović, the Prosecutor's Office and the Court are engaged in baseless persecution

Milorad Dodik, the President of Republika Srpska and the SNSD, appearing on the show "Tačka na 7" hosted by editor Suzana Stambol on N1, left open the option of running for the BiH Presidency from the Serbian people in 2018, Patria reports.

He stated that it is still too early for him to retire from politics and that he will officially announce his decision when the time comes.

Dodik once again attacked the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, claiming that these institutions should never have existed and advocating for their abolition. When the host noted that it would not be possible to abolish such two institutions, Dodik said:

- Well, if that is not possible, then it is more likely that BiH will not exist either. So let someone choose what they want, either we return to constitutional frameworks or BiH will go to hell – Dodik said.

He confirmed that the idea of a referendum on the existence of the Court and Prosecutor's Office is still alive and that he will use such a form of expression on every "relevant issue".

- We here in RS do not think that there should not be some form of court and prosecutor's office, but not organized as it is now.

He emphasized that the Constitutional Court of BiH must be regulated by law.

During the interview, Dodik also strongly criticized the director of the OSA, Osman Mehmedagić, whom he said works together with Bakir Izetbegović, the president of the SDA, on deciding who should be prosecuted, arrested, and investigated. In this context, he also mentioned the case of Fahrudin Radončić, the president of the SBB.

- In FBiH, there are groups that set each other up. Izetbegović, at the moment when he realized he could not do without Radončić, decided to release Salihović. It is known that he was SDA – Dodik said, adding that Mehmedagić knows who will be appointed to the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

When asked whether Goran Salihović was suspended because of him (Dodik), he said he had never spoken to Salihović nor seen him.

- It was easier to eliminate Salihović. He did nothing for me.

He believes that today's judiciary has destroyed the entire judicial system in BiH.

- They are exclusively engaged in baseless persecution. Nothing has been completed. The prolonged holding of these processes against people, businessmen, shows that some need to be removed – Dodik said.

When asked whether he will go to Potočari on July 11, Dodik avoided answering, saying that his stance on that has not changed. As for Srebrenica, it has had and will have priority.

- Potočari is one thing, Srebrenica is another. We always helped where there were real frameworks. The local authorities did not show loyalty to the RS system, so there could be no support. As for return, I do not want to deal with machinations. No one is preventing anyone from returning. In RS, no one is preventing any Bosniak or Croat from returning to any place – said the President of RS.

On BiH's European path

Dodik believes that filling out the European Commission's Questionnaire will be difficult, and stated that RS is ready to provide answers within 30 days, but he is not sure if BiH can.

- I am not against the European path, but I am against European meddling. By the time we fill out the Questionnaire and reach some structure, Europe will no longer look like this.

He also commented on the role of the international community and said that the policies of both the European Union and the US towards BiH will no longer be as strong, and they will increasingly impose their solutions less.
