Dodik with Ambassador Chen Bo: Enable Chinese in RS to be educated in their mother tongue

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, spoke today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of China to BiH, Chen Bo, reports the Patria News Agency.

President Dodik and Ambassador Chen Bo assessed the relations between Republika Srpska and China as very good, and advocated for further improvement of relations on economic, cultural, and all other levels.

It was jointly stated that the construction of the Stanari thermal power plant, the first major project of the People's Republic of China in Republika Srpska, as well as in the region, has been successfully completed. The construction of the Stanari thermal power plant, as stated during the meeting, will contribute to the development of Republika Srpska and further improvement of economic relations with the PRC.

The President of Republika Srpska and the Chinese Ambassador advocated, among other things, for improving the living conditions of the Chinese diaspora in Republika Srpska, which includes the possibility of the second generation of Chinese being educated in their mother tongue.

The President of Republika Srpska and the Ambassador of the PRC exchanged views on other current issues in Republika Srpska and BiH, it was announced from the Cabinet of the President of RS.
