(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said, after the meeting of the Republika Srpska delegation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, that RS and Russia remain committed to the Dayton Agreement and respect for international law. The meeting was held at the Russian Embassy in Belgrade.
After the meeting, which was closed to the media, the delegation from Republika Srpska will attend a formal dinner organized in honor of the visit of the Russian head of diplomacy to Belgrade by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dačić.
Dodik said that today's meeting confirms the good cooperation between Republika Srpska and Russia in continuity, emphasizing that he will visit Moscow in a few days and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Dodik thanked Lavrov for the time dedicated to the meeting and the Russian Federation for its help in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
He particularly thanked Russia for its political sensitivity and, as he said, "not missing the opportunity to defend the truth about the Serbian people", emphasizing that the position of Republika Srpska is now far more favorable.
