Dodik: RS will close for the next seven days, economy and kindergartens exempted

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said that the epidemiological situation in Republika Srpska needs to be understood at all levels of government and that all measures adopted by the RS Emergency Situations Headquarters must be respected, as this is the only way to stop the expansion of the coronavirus spread.

- In this way, we can try to stop the expansion of the spread of the infection that threatens lives, protect health, and prevent pressure on the healthcare sector - Dodik stated at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He stated that the closure measures in RS will be in effect for the next seven days, but that the economy and kindergartens will not be closed.

He reminded that medical workers have been facing this problem for a year and are tired, and that the spread of the epidemic represents a serious problem.

- My appeal is to respect the measures and, by respecting the measures, try to see what will happen in seven days. If we are successful, we will return to the previous state, if not, we will extend it - said Dodik, who is also the leader of SNSD, after a meeting with councilors of the Banja Luka majority in the assembly, reports Srna.
