Dodik transferred 750,000 euros for a villa through his bank: Slobodan Pavlović arrested

Members of SIPA arrested the owner of Pavlović Bank, Slobodan Pavlović, today around 12:00 in the Trebinje area. Pavlović is on his way to Sarajevo where he will be questioned, writes the Patria news agency.

- By order of the prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of SIPA deprived of liberty Petar Lazić (born 1962) and Liljana Garić (born 1964), officials of Pavlović Bank in Bijeljina. The owner of the bank, Slobodan Pavlović (born 1938), was also deprived of liberty. The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and police agencies are searching for additional suspects who will be deprived of liberty soon. The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting an investigation in the case related to criminal acts of financial crime, connected to the operations of the mentioned bank and its owner. At this moment, in the interest of the investigation, we cannot provide more information to the public and media and ask for understanding - said the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In December 2015, Pavlović was questioned at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the purchase of a villa by Milorad Dodik in Belgrade, i.e., the loan that Dodik allegedly took from Pavlović Bank to pay for the villa in Dedinje.

As part of the activities and search in the Pavlović Bank case, police officers of SIPA subsequently deprived of liberty the suspect Blago Blagojević (born 1950).

In 2007, when he was Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik transferred 750,000 euros through Pavlović Bank for the purchase of a villa in Belgrade's Dedinje, but it turned out that he took out a loan of 750,000 euros only a year later.

Slobodan Pavlović and his lawyer stated after the questioning at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina that Pavlović came on his own initiative and that he is not a suspect in any case pending before the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
