Dodik says: They took the army from us, they won't take the police

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, together with entity Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Željka Cvijanović and Dragan Lukač, visited today the training grounds at the Training Center in the former Zalužani barracks.

After the visit, Dodik stated that the RS, according to the Constitution, has the right to a police force, and that no one will be able to take it away as was done with the army.

- According to the Constitution, the RS has the right to a police force. They took the army from us, but they won't take the police. There is nothing illegal or unlawful here. You are invited here to see that there are no Russian or American missiles here. Boeings cannot land here. We are strengthening the anti-terrorist capacity – Dodik told reporters in Zalužani.

He also commented on the purchase of weapons for the RS police, stating that there is nothing illegal about it.  

- The infamous story about rifles, all procedures were carried out, we respected the level of BiH. The minister for jokes and insinuations also gave permission. What is problematic about that? Nothing. These Westerners have been forbidding us from equipping ourselves for twenty years. The people in the RS need to know that we will not stop here – Dodik said.

Minister of Internal Affairs Dragan Lukač stated that the police complex in Zalužani will be opened on April 4.
