(Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović and members of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik and Željko Komšić are on a working visit to Brussels today.
After the meeting with the permanent rapporteur of the European Parliament for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Paulo Rangel, and the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, Dodik gave a statement to the media.
"European institutions have expressed their commitment to the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there are, of course, a number of expectations from the European Commission. I think there are many difficult things. Those that could have been done have already been done, and those that require constitutional amendments will be very difficult, almost impossible, as well as part of the transfer of competencies to the common level. We have been listening to this for 20 years, and it did not happen, nor will it happen now," Dodik said.
He emphasized that European institutions have a lot of understanding for BiH as a complex country facing many internal problems.
"We also discussed the problem of migration, and we clearly stated that migrants are coming to BiH through European Union countries, that they are being parked there and represent a social and security problem that we need to solve," he said.
He also commented on the criticism that international actors created problems in the judiciary in Brussels.
"They cannot expect us to fix their blunders by changing some law in just one article," he added.
